Denise Marx

Denise Marx (Deni) is a licensed Professional Substance Use Counselor with 4 years of experience working with adults and adolescents.  At Restoring Hope Deni brings a compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy - believing that healing happens when people feel safe, supported, and truly heard.

Deni specializes in working with addiction struggles in hopes for recovery, as well as teaching the evidence based science behind our thinking and behaviors.  She likes to help clients unlearn former coping skills and cognitive distortions while teaching healtheir ways to navigate their lifestyle.  Deni uses evidence-based techniques such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care.

Deni is passionate about helping clients understand their "why" for their past or current substance use struggles, build resilience, and create achievable and sustainable improvements in their live. She love to pain and explore peace through artistic outlets.
